Hi... My name is Ron and I live in the Chicago area. My family and I have been to St John once, this past March. I enjoy snorkeling, coffee, BBQ and posting food porn.



Hi gang! How have ya been? I've been MIA for part of May and all of June. Silly things like work have kept me so busy that I have hardly had time to read the forum. We also had a graduation party for my daughter last weekend and preparing and cooking for that kept me busy, too. I am so far behind on trip reports that I don't know if I'll catch up.

My travel schedule has settled down for the summer (the next scheduled trip is late August) so I should be around more often so look for my wisea$$ comments and food pictures more frequently

I will miss the Wisconsin Forum gathering next weekend due to a BBQ competition (Shannon, IL) and a weekend outing for my wife and daughter on the same weekend (I have to get home after the competition to take care of the dog ). Sorry i won't be able to meet all of the Wisconsin and Illinois members who will be there.

Vicki, I hate to disappoint you, but I didn't cook a thing on the fourth! We went to the neighbor's house for surf and turf! My neighbor was given an Omaha Steak gift pack with some nice filet mignon and lobster tails and they invited us for dinner. I didn't argue

BUT, I did cook last weekend for the graduation party. I cooked three Boston Butts for pulled pork, two briskets, 9 racks of baby backs, a huge pot of beans, some fatties and a bunch of Atomic Buffalo Turds (jalapenos stuffed with a mixture of cream cheese, crumbled fatty, crumbled bacon, monterey jack cheese, colby cheese and seasoning) and home made cole slaw.

Missed ya, Ron. I'll be looking forward to your "food porn".

Ron - I was just thinking about you the other day and last week on STJ when I say your hat thingy in Cruz Bay Watersports that you wore to protect your head.

Also, got some Cruz Bay Grill Rub and was wondering, "What would RonL do?"
