Late, late, late trip report, Part II

It's been so long since my first report, I'll refresh your memory. We were there June 9-16 and stayed at Andante By the Sea which we loved and recommend.
June 12, Tuesday
Went running, then pool and hot tub. We the headed for Cruz bay and Baked in the Sun sandwiches. I like Deli Grotto but to me Baked in the Sun is better. Then we headed straight for Maho. I think this was the most crowded beach we hit all week. We stayed all afternoon. We went on a great snorkel around to Little Maho.
We then headed to the Colombo Smoothie trailer. Mark made me a Pineapple Coconut St. John style and my husband had a Chocolate Blueberry. Mark was out of Kiwi that day. Both smoothies were great. Plus, he made too much Pineapple Coconut, so he gave us the leftover which made almost another drink. We talked to him about his fame now that he had his own video on On St John. He was pleased that we brought it up. There were three young girls trying to thumb a ride while we were standing there so my mother hen instincts kicked in and I told them they could come with us but that we would turn at Gift Hill Rd. You would have thought it was Christmas morning because THEY wanted to go down Gift Hill Rd. It turns out they were from St Thomas and they were visiting friends on the island.
Banana Deck for dinner. I had a couple of Painkillers to start. Very tasty. I can't remember what my husband ordered but he was disappointed because it was pink and he felt that a pink drink wasn't very manly. I had the swordfish special. It was tender and tasty. As usual, my DH had some red meat of some kind. Then back to the Beach Bar to complete another perfect day.
June 13, Wednesday
This was the day to tackle the East End, something we've never done. We drove all the way out to Vie's. Got there at about 1130 and no Vie. Just a boarded up Snack Shack and a chained off beach. Went back to Haulover South, set up our stuff, got in the water and saw the jellies that Liamsaunt photographed so nicely and posted in her trips report. We walked over to Haulover North. The water was pretty choppy and the beach was pretty littered. So we decided to head to Shipwreck Landing. It was 2PM and there wasn't a parking space to be found. We continued driving as far as Lameshur to see what we could see. On our way back, we saw donkeys playing at the bend in the road across from the Salt Pond Driveway.

We got back to Shipwreck just in time for an opened up parking space to go to the jeep in front of us, So, we went to Skinny Legs. Roger had the burger and I had the chicken sandwich. Very good.

Then back to Cruz Bay and the Beach Bar for mango Coladas. We decided to grill at the villa. We went to St. John Spice for grill rub. We asked for Ruth but she and Ron were on a cigarette break. I bought Cruz Bay Grill Rub and something called Rubadub Rub, I ended up using that on the steak and chicken we got at Starfish and it was great. I still haven't used the Cruz bay Rub. I guess I'm worried I'll un out of it or something.
Didn't do what I wanted to today but whatever, it was another great day on St John.
