Cruz Bay to CA ferry still not operating

Just FYI, as of yesterday the Cruz Bay to CA ferry is still listed as "not operating until further notice."

I only mention this again because the only notice posted is an 8 X 11 piece of paper taped inside the ticket both, and even a number of locals were surprised and angered to find they couldn't get directly into town on the ferry. Word is there simply aren't enough passengers in the summer to make it worth running the boat. Prob'ly true.

As mentioned before here on this forum by RL -
The ferry company is in violation of their franchise agreement. For what ever that is worth? .... apparently absoutley zero.

You can call the St. John Shuttle for downtown. 340-774-BOAT.

Apparently they have a two week period to notify folks of he change. Just spoke with Kenrick Augustus of Transportation Services and he said they will start running again on Monday.

I'm coming down on Thursday, arriving around 3:15. What's the latest? Is the downtown ferry running to Cruz Bay. I assume the cabbies will give me good info. Thanks.
