Question about Gallows

I was just reading (again) Liamsaunt's part one report and she noted things in her unit at Gallows like nice, soft towels, comfy king bed, pretty well equipped kitchen, etc. This was unit 2C.
My question is, are the Gallows units owned by individuals and therefore you might find different furnishings and supplies in each unit?
Just wondering...

Gallow's Point is basically run as a hotel, so everyone gets the same towels. You have to ask for the blue beach towels at the front desk. The furniture all looks pretty similar, but each unit has their own decor ie pictures and other wall hangings. 10C had a large bookshelf for sharing books which was nice. As far as the kitchen supplies, I think they vary a little more. It was kind of comical at the pool one day because everyone thought they knew of THE best unit. All were different.

A friend of mine in St. Thomas owns one of the Gallows Point condos. Other than that I have no other knowledge of how it is run.

All of the units are individually owned. That being said, Richard Methaney of Suite St John owns 11 of the units. I believe the owners are limited to 30 to 45 day for use of their own units. Guess it's a homeowners deal.
You are correct in saying you get good towels, not those cheap ones. Are beach towels at the front desk? My old brain can't remember but thought we had them in the room were given new ones every day. Didn't that happen?
The rooms are cleaned every day. The beds are made every day. They do an excellant job in running an excellant facility.
We always stay in 9A with a great view. We shall be there soon.

I think they did use to leave the beach towels in the room. One day we did get a set and went to exchange for some clean ones. We were then told that we had to get them at the front desk. Maybe this is something new?

Brenda, I think you are right. You can exchange at the desk but they will still leave in the room. For some reason I just cannot see Anna and the rest of the crew wanting to be towels girls at the front desk.
But you are correct. You can get extras or exchange if you need them.

We are TOWEL FIENDS! We go through a LOT of them while on a beach vacation between the beach, the pool, the hot tub and taking a couple showers each a day (rinsing off, etc). That said, Gallows provided us with thirsty green bath towels (hand & washcloths too of course) AND very large heavy blue beach towels in our room daily.... and whenever we stopped by the desk for more - which we did frequently, they were happy to give us more - without us giving them the wet, used ones (which we left in the room for housekeeping).
Can't say enough about Gallows!
ENJOY!!

I am thrilled to hear nice comments about Gallows. We have three units rented for the first part of August for the first time.

AC- YES
Parking is VERY TIGHT- but we have never not been able to get a space. If there are no spaces available, they tell you to double park & leave the key with the front desk. Actually, it is the only negative (if you can call it that) aspect about Gallows - negotiating their parking spaces.

Love, love, LOOOOVVVEEE Gallows Point!!! and we love the snorkeling there, too. If I am not mistaken, Richard Matheny of Suite StJohn MANAGES 11 of the units( or whatever number) Don't think he owns them. I could be wrong. but whatever... its all good at Gallows!
