Coral Bay Restaurants

Post by fbo44 »

Hi Forumites! We're going to be staying over on the Coral Bay side of the island for the first time and was hoping for some tips on restaurants and who will be open during the second week of August. Thanks!

Rhumb Lines, Aqua Bistro for finer dining, skinny legs for burgers and sandwiches. All will be open then. Pizza Bar in Paradise is on the road toward salt pond and has excellent pizza. Another option which may be open is Ms Lucy's. It's further down the road to salt pond. Great Grouper sandwiches among other things.

Add TBD Pop-up Restaurant in the Isola building next to Cocoloba Plaza/Aqua Bistro. Caribbean Oasis is open Tuesday-Saturday. Lime Out is a floating taco bar off of Hansen Bay.

RIP Pickles.

Rick, I read somewhere (maybe FB) that Lime Out will be closed for the season beginning July 28th. Also, I'm not positive but TBD might now (very recently) be called The Danforth. I saw that mentioned somewhere on TA but I can't find any other info.

Ed you’re correct about the name change, I saw it on FB.

Yep, Lime Out is hauling out for hurricane season.

TBD is still posting on Facebook. Their Danforth announcement is out there too, but I have not seen them roll out the new brand yet.

We’ll be staying in Coral Bay in August, too. Keep an eye on St. John Spice and News of St. John. They usually post Summer/Fall restaurant closings in July, which we, who frequent the island in August, truly appreciate.

We just got back from our annual trip! Rhumb Lines' new location in Coral Bay has the same feel as their former location, just bigger. It was great, as always, and there were two sweet resident cats to keep us entertained.
