we are 4 couples trying to narrow our villa search down. We have also considered Drakes View. Not sure we want to go out as far as Alice by the Sea, although it looks beautiful. Amy thoughts on any of these or anything else out there? I'll keep picking all of your minds until you are sick of me

LOVE Alice By The Sea, I have been to Flanders as we had family staying there and although a nice villa it was SOOOO windy couldn't sit on the deck without stuff flying around (and it wasn't a particularly windy time of year - i.e.: not Christmas Winds or anything) and as a Realtor (imo) most homes that face that direction in that area catch the wind really good (we have visited a lot of them) Estate Fortsberg (I have not seen although Les as a Broker has shown it as it is for sale) is a beautiful villa on a rough road.

Pia, I was hoping you would reply! We have never stayed that far out of Coral Bay, that is only concern there. Is the road to estate Fortsberg really bad? Like Lamshur bad? Any other suggestions? We are really wide open but we need 4 bedrooms and at least 4 bathrooms and a pool. Thanks again!

Check out Heaven's Gate .... Viva Villas or VRBO . We stayed there in 2013 with 3 other couples . Amazing views and beautiful home !

I took a look at the villas mentioned, and have only had the (extreme pleasure!!!) of staying at one of them.... Alice By the Sea. The thing that stood out to me immediately about Estate Fortsberg is the wide open doors with no apparent screens. That would immediately disqualify that for me. Flanders is lovely, but I don't think it's as beautiful! If it was my choice, I'd choose Alice By the Sea. With any luck, you'd be there Saturday evening to hear the choir at the nearby church practice, as the sun sets. More lovely than you could ever imagine!

haven't stayed at Drakes view ..... but i honestly think that management team is wonderful -- Fernando is the best.

I did just check with Windspree and they confirmed there are screens on all doors and windows.

Thanks, do you anything about the road out there? I'm hearing bad things.....

I've not been to the villa yet (we go next April) but we've stayed at the top of Callabash Boom one year and the road can't be worse than that one. Most of the reviews I've read have nothing but good things to say and an occasional mention about the road but that in a couple days you get used to it and it's no big deal.

I have been in contact with the homeowner but he doesn't seem to friendly. I'm wondering about the location of the hot tub and he can't seem to be bothered with giving me an answer. I just don't want one in a bedroom.

Windspree manages estate Fortsberg and are great to work with. They'll answer any of your questions.
