Hi everyone, just wanted to share the details on the infant beach shade I ordered from Amazon for our upcoming trip in August. Many of you gave me such excellent advice for travelling with our little girl, so I hope this is helpful to someone.

So far, it is light and compact and just pops right up. It took us maybe 10 minutes to figure out how to fold it back up, but now it's a breeze. It is just big enough that I can sit inside with our baby (13 months old). We have popped it up at home and she really likes playing in it and has actually pulled out the box wanting me to bring it back out.
I'll report back once we actually use it at the beach, but so far it seems very easy, well made, and ideal for travel.

We had several similar shades and I also recommend them.

Our first one didn't make it home from STJ because my husband didn't know how to fold it and bent the frame. So you are wise to be practicing at home!

Ours saw a lot of use on STJ and as a play tent at home.
