Last day of work before we leave for STJ is finally over! Actually got off a little early - about 2:30 today. I'll spend tomorrow doing laundry, packing & making sure last minute stuff is done at the house. Then we will leave really, really early Sunday morning (about 3:15 a.m.) to drive to the airport. I can't believe we are almost there! We've been planning this vacation for two years. Katrina changed our plans the first year. We are very excited. This is our first trip to STAY on STJ - only been there on a couple of day trips before.

We plan to bring the laptop, so if we get a good, fast connection, I'll try to post a few times from STJ. (I don't have much patience for slow connections.) If you have any questions that you think I can answer while there, let me know, but remember, I'm a newbie. We have two day trips planned to the BVI while there - one on a sailboat & one on a powerboat.

St. John Ruth, I hope to stop by & visit you & pick up a few goodies from your shop.

Ksea, I've never posted pictures, but I will try to figure out how to post some after we get back instead of trying to do it while we are on STJ.

I was so excited, I couldn't sleep this a.m., so I'm up early to start packing. Hopefully, I can get to bed early tonight & get a little sleep before that early trip to the airport.

I also want to thank everyone on the forum for all the helpful advice & tips. You are all great. Hope to see some of you on the island this week.

Have a wonderful trip and don't spend too much time checking here! There will be plenty of time for that when you get back! Take good notes for your trip report when you do get back! We are not too far behind you so leave the island in one piece!

Packing is done, house is picked up, laundry done, bills paid, everything set for the house/pet sitter. Packing was more of an ordeal than I anticipated. I don't know if bringing food items was such a good idea or not; it may be more trouble than it's worth.

Bert - we hope our leftover goodies (if any) will still be at the villa for you. I'll call/email/PM you either Sunday (6/3) from Miami or from home on Monday (6/4) when we get back.

Hope to get to bed really early & hope I am able to sleep a little even with all the excitment.
