sunset sail question/recommendation

Question for everyone but particularly for the ladies -- I was thinking about surprising my wife with a sunset sail before dinner at Zozo's on the last night of our trip. My wife knows we are going to Zozo's but thinks we are going at 6pm and not 8:30pm when our reservations are actually for.
My question is two-fold:
(1) If your DH/significant other did this -- would you be at all annoyed about having gotten dressed up (at least relatively so -- like a sundress or something)to go to a nice restaurant and then going on a boat??
(2) Are there any particular companies that people have a preference for. I would probably prefer a catamaran just because of (1) and the fact that they are a little more calm and generally have less splash, etc.
Thoughts? (I could just be that I am just paranoid and trying to hard to please)

I would love for my husband to surprise me with a sunset cruise, so romantic! Usually though for the restaurant's on St. John, you don't have to get that dressed up. Your wife could wear a nice pair of capris, skirt and sandals. Usually when you get into the boat they require you to take off your shoes anyway.
I would HIGHLY recommend the Scubadu - a catamaran. Captain Joe is awesome! He offices both sunset sails and dinner cruises. He's a little pricey but I think he's worth it. The catamaran is a good choice because its more stable then other boats. His website is

No matter who you go with, watching the sun go down in St. John on a catamaran is great! You will enjoy it.

My husband and I were given a gift of a private sunset sail with Capt Greg Fretias ?? sp. Can't recall the name of the boat but it was about 50 foot. He served champange and hor dorves. He picked us up at the dock at Caneel, so if you call them they might be able to get you the name and number. This is an email I have for him, not sure if its still good.
captgregfreitas@msn.com. he usually come north in the summer, but doesn't leave until late July.

We just did the same thing last week for our 25th anniversary, Sunset sail on the catamaran Calypso and dinner at Zozo's. It was great..but you may want to switch your dinner reservation to 8:00 pm. There were 6 couples on board..the boat is quite large, stable..no worrying about getting wet and lovely.

Thanks Donna -- I think we may try Calypso since were are renting a boat from them earlier in the week to explore the north shore beaches. They have so much nicer dinghy rentals than Noah's.

We also did a sunset sail on the Calypso at the beginning of this month and highly recommend them. We actually all dressed nicer for the sail so I don't think you'd have to worry about it if she'd already dressed for dinner at ZoZo's.
The Calypso is a gorgeous catamaran and they served appetizers and drinks. It was wonderful!
Mary Beth, we met the Calypso right at the dock in front of the visitor's center.
Enjoy!

Eric,
We are arriving Saturday too. What time are you getting into STT? Maybe we can wave to each other.
