Which beach/snorkel will you do first?

After much planning, you're finally on your way to STJ, you've spent a whole day getting there, you get your jeep, your groceries, meet the villa manager, get to your villa, get unpacked, go to sleep and wake up in paradise. What is the first thing you look forward to doing? Which area on the island calls to you first.
For me, it's Salt Pond, I enjoy the drive over, seeing the landmarks along the way, the walk-to the beach, the shady area on the right, the huge underwater rocks, the sea-life we'll see, that invigorating so happy to be here feeling after coming out of the water, the warm sun. Aaaaaaah....

Maho ! We love to be there quite early- around 8 a.m. to watch the sea life. The pelicans are feeding, the fish are active, and the beach empty. Paradise

Maho
We are also there by 8 in the morning in June. It is just one of our favorites.
We have several favorites and it changes from year to year.

It's always been Maho for us: beautiful beach, easy access, calm water for our first snorkel and lots to see! Wish I was going there today!!

Francis for us! It is literally my favorite place on Earth so far. It's where I got to cross swimming with sea turtles off the top of my bucket list. Where I got to share my love for sea turtles and snorkeling with my son. Special place to me. I park at the top of the trail and walk past the old house and imagine what life was like back when that house was occupied. Then we go down the muddy trail past the huge termite nests and come to the bottom of the trail where there is now a boardwalk. I can see the water through the trees and my blood pressure drops 20 points and all is well with the world. June needs to hurry up and get here!!!!!

Caw954: Ours has always been Salt Pond too. We start with the hike to Ram Head, come back for some snorkel time, and usually spend the whole day there. Of my 5 trips so far, Salt Pond/Ram Head has been the first day 4 times. (We have done the hike at least once every trip. Usually twice.)

Maho or Francis. Lameshur if the north swell is up. All have short walks from parking and shade.
Cheers, RickG
