Now, we were on to Thursday and I was starting to realize our island days were getting limited. Quickly pushed that thought out of my mind and hopped out of bed to check the weather report. One glance out of the shower door tells me it's another sunny day! We had decided today four of us would check out Maho. My brother and A decided to do their own thing in the morning and meet us in town later. We loaded up the Liberty with our cooler, chairs and towels and we were off to Baked in the Sun. Bagels for the others and a raspberry granola bar for me. That was very good! We traveled on to Maho and pulled into the trees to park. There was one other couple down the beach and that was it. We found Maho to be just about the perfect spot for us. We actually stopped that morning and walked down to Jumbie. Only one couple down there, but the mosquitos were horrible so we barely stayed long enough to get pictures. Then, we drove up to Francis and contemplated staying there, but decided to go back to Maho instead. The view is just perfect peace for me at Maho! Spent time in the water and on the beach. Hubby and I decided to snorkel out to the left side of Maho. I knew one side was recommended, but couldn't remember which one. Of course it was the right side, but the left side was fun too. We snorkeled for quite awhile and enjoyed all of the fish and coral we saw. We came back in and were ready for a drink. Sat on the beach with a towel draped over my head to provide some shade and a lovely woman walks by and asks if we happen to be from the forum (saw our neat sheets). My parents shake their heads no and I was like, wait, I am, I am. It was the famous Pia walking the beach after her swim looking for forumites!! I was so glad to meet up with her. She gave us the low down on snorkeling at Maho and when she mentioned turtles and sting rays hubby grabbed his gear and about sprinted into the water. We chatted for a bit and Pia is so nice and gave us some good info!! She said she needed to get to work....gee...wish I could take a swim at the beach before I went to work!

By this time, J, was waving to me from the water and telling me to grab my stuff and get out there. One of my goals this trip was to see a sea turtle and he'd found the small one that Pia had mentioned. It was so cool to watch him munch on the grass and then surface to breathe. J got some really good underwater video of him. My parents even made it out with their snorkel gear to see him. I went back in to the beach and hubby went on snorkeling on the right side. He enjoyed it immensely, but didn't see any big finds. Before we left the beach that day was saw a small barracuda patrolling the shallow water in our area.

Packed up and went to meet the other two. We ended up at the Banana Deck. Drinks all around and we found their BBC's to be really good. Chicken strips with wing sauce was the meal for me and J, dad enjoyed the mahi wrap. It was a nice lunch and we'd definitely return. Then we did a little shopping and returned to the villa for pool time and cleaning up. Relaxed for a bit and then bro and A decided to stay home and the rest of us returned to town for more shopping and dinner. We hit St. John Spice and got to meet Ruth. Another fun lady who works her tail off! J voiced his interest in owning a business on island and wanted to buy part of Ruth's! They gave us the low down on island living! Bought some grill rub and I too fell victim to the cute straw purses with palm trees on them. Actually mom and I each purchased one. We shopped on and bought a few small things before heading to Morgan's Mango for dinner. No mosquitoes there so we were happy. There was a huge bachelor party there that evening and they provided a little entertainment for us. Hubby and I ordered the coconut shrimp which was wonderful. Dad ordered grilled tuna and mom ordered the peppa steak. Her steak was melt in your mouth it was so good. We all enjoyed our dinner and I took a piece of their chocolate torte home for later. It was heavenly and so rich! Our server was really good here and it was just another nice evening. We headed home and watched Grey's Anatomy before going to bed once again pretty early!

Still working on the pictures, but half way done!
