Too funny - the VI's are in my subconscious!!

So I just had to share this with you, my brethren in addiction....

Yesterday I had to have a "female" outpatient procedure done. They have me this (great :P ) amnesiac type of drug given to me, in addition to Demerol. At any rate, I remember they asked me to get up off the table to which I replied "aren't we going to do the procedure?" Well, they had already completed it! Apparently they said I was chatting incessantly about our upcoming vacation, how much I love STT and STJ, the great beaches, snokeling, clear water, how you can island hop with a fairly inexpensive ferry ride, how wonderful the Baths are - - and ON and ON and ON.

Weird! I guess of all things for me to blather on about, the VI's are a harmless enough topic (and not so embarrassing  ). SO, there you go, I am a true addict....

That is too funny, LLBL......kind of risky tho.....The Doc doesn't need any unnecessary distractions... I hope the nurse kept telling him," Mind on Task, Mind on Task!!"

LOL! You are truely addicted!

oh man that's funny! I have to have a biospy soon which I do not look forward to. I hope I don't start mumbling about Flip Flop and Xislandgirl and food porn! :)

Hope all went well for you!

It WAS just too hilarious. The nurses told my husband in the waiting room, and the first thing he said to me was "God Bless, woman, you are completely obsessed with the VI's!"

Well, DUH  !!

All is fine today, back at work (if that's what you want to call it)...

Did you mention food porn? That would be tooo funny! I took my sister for a procedure and she rambled on and on about how much she loved her sister and her nephew (me and my son). So sweet. BTW she will be with us on our trip to STJ in 30 DAYS. Can you tell Im obsessed?

My dermatologist once made the mistake of mentioning a love of travel. Now I chatter his ear off at every appointment. The first year we visited St. John, he predicted we'd have a problem with hurricanes, and he was unfortunately correct.

That's funny LLBL! I am sure I would have been doing the same thing.
Do you have frequent dreams about the VI's too?

My godmother sedates people for heart caths & she says her docs usually look at her and say "she/he is still talking...." which is code for GIVE THEM MORE DRUGS.

I work in the Pre-op/Recovery Room of a local hospital. Yes, we give some very good drugs. The primary amnesiac that we give is called Versed. You might be awake and talking, but not remember a thing. Most people wake up and can't believe that the procedure is over :) .
