Apparently ScotiaBank is closing the STJ branch - this is just another inconvenience of doing business on STJ, taking a ferry to the bank.

Are there any other banks remaining on the island?

yes. we use merchants. the branch is in the same building as St. John Market near the westin.

also first bank is in down town cruz bay.
