Sunday update

We started the day at Miss Lucy's for brunch. We arrived at 9AM to secure a good table and spent some time beachcombing and reading while waiting.
I always hate to post negative things, but here we go: Our service was so bad this visit. Most of the tables around us had their food before we even got our drinks. We were seriously the last table served, including the tables that arrived after the 10AM opening time. Most of the people who were there right at open had left and new people were getting drinks before our food arrived. We were just a table of three, with simple orders - no subs, no specials, we never complained or did anything else that might have angered our server. When the food finally did arrive it was good, but my eggs and our shared pancakes were cold. Henceforth I will wait to chose our table until I know what section our favorite waitress is serving so we can be sure to sit there.
On to Salt Pond. It was a lovely beach day, but the snorkeling was just so-so this visit. Disappointing, as we have always had good luck there in the past. It was still lovely though. As we headed for the trail to Drunk Bay, my flip flop broke. I did the trail in my snorkel booties - I don't recomment that. But the Bay was gorgeous, as always, and worth the painful walk. Mayra engineered my flip flops so I could do the death march up the hill with shoes on, so that was very helpful. My bad ankle has been bugging me ever since our hike of the Reef Bay trail, so the walk up was more difficult than usual, but I made it.
Back at the villa, I iced my ankle for a bit, then we got ready for Asolare. We scored a table along the rail, and got to watch the beautiful sunrise. The food and drinks were amazing and the culinary highlight of our trip - more on that in my full trip report later...

Think we'll snorkel the Haulovers.
