We started out the day at Leinster. We were the second ones to the beach. The snorkeling was exceptional today. We decided not to venture out to the cay, as it was a little choppy, so we started off the left. Some beautiful turtles almost as soon as we started. Then a gorgeous eagle ray. I followed him around for quite awhile. Got a video that I'll post when I get back home. I was super excited to see him, as I had seen one yesterday at Lameshur but didn't have me camera with me. Over to left we saw many baby barracuda, a stingray and an amazing amount of reef fish. Also a spiny crab and the biggest honeycomb cowfish I have ever seen. On my way back to the beach, I came across the smallest sea turtle I've seen yet. Just about 7 inches, just a cute little guy. The clouds started rolling in after a couple hours, so we decided to move on. I was happy that we got there early and got our snorkeling time in, because shortly after we got back to the car the sky opened up and it poured. And it poured, and poured and poured. We took a drive out to the end of East End road, then stopped at Vies on our way back. My thought being that we might as well be in the water if it was going to keep raining. It was too rough for acceptable snorkeling, so we didn't stay long. Drove in to Cruz Bay to refill our water bottles at St John Ice and pick up some lemon bars at Baked in the Sun. It was raining so hard that I looked like I had been swimming in my clothes after getting our stops done.

Back at the villa, I decided it was nap time - something I never do. When I woke up we were without power. We grilled by candlelight and the power came back on just as we were sitting down to eat. It was 1 hour and 45 minutes, not bad.

Now off to read myself to sleep and Miss Lucy's brunch in the morning, Salt Pond for the day, and Asolare for dinner.

I had to laugh a little bit at the idea of driving in a drenching rainstorm to go buy water! -- With all the free refreshing water falling out of the sky.
Before desalination plants that was the only water we had.
With a small tarp and a funnel you would have filled any amount of gallon jugs available in under 10 min.

Glad y'all had a great time snorkeling. We haven't snorkeled Leinster in all of our years....crazy! Can't WAIT to see the pictures and video!

Let us know how Asolare was. We went either 2 or 3 years ago.
