Breaking news at the Starfish deli counter!

So, we arrived on island today at about 4 PM, and stopped at Starfish Market on the way up to Gifft Hill. As we passed the deli counter, something was ... different. We had always been accustomed to seeing the prepared meals section cleaned out by 1 or 2 PM, but this time, it was filled with lots of tempting and delicious hot food. On speaking to the Executive Chef for Starfish Market and Gourmet, Andy Marcellin, we learned that today was the first day of a new dinner service! In addition, two months ago, a new breakfast service was added. Here is the new daily line-up at the Starfish Deli Counter:
Breakfast (new): Opening (7:30 AM) to 10 AM; flat and impressively affordable $4.99 charge; the breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, a choice of meat, and home fries. The scrambled eggs will be mixed up from day to day with various cheese and vegetable additions. [Edit: I just finished my first Starfish breakfast, and can certify it as delicious and ample.]
Hot Lunch: This is pretty much as it was before (delicious and a bargain), with a variety of meal choices, and side, small meal, and large meal pricing options. Hot lunch is served from 10 AM to between 2 and 3 PM. A post of mine a year or so ago attempted to decode the hot lunch pricing options (http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/v ... rfish+deli), but I need to confirm if that pricing is still in effect.
Dinner (new as of today): Served from 4 PM to 7 PM; check it out!
We always used to strike out on timing for the hot lunches, and regretted showing up too early or too late. With the new breakfast and dinner additions to the Starfish Deli counter service, the odds of finding a tasty and affordable meal there on the way to or from the beach just became a lot more likely. Enjoy!
Prior to his current position as Executive Chef of Starfish Market and Gourmet, Andy Marcellin served as a chef at the Caneel Bay Resort. From 2004 to 2009, Andy was at the CIA. His current on-island assignments aren't "deep undercover", though; he was busy earning a B.S. and B.A.Sc. during those years at the Culinary Institute of America. It's pretty impressive that such a talent will be directing meals that we can enjoy on the go. Maho Bay pavilion, here we come!
All the best,
Kevin
