So excited to show our friends the island. Best friends from the High School days....37 years ago(still acting like we are 30 somethings).

To that end, while I know Love City will deliver...I hate to 'oversell' the island. I hope they get our new-found enthusiasm from a 'newbie's' perspective. Perhaps, showing off a slice of heaven gives us a chance to be part of that excitement for the unknown and will remind us of the island that has captured our very being.

I hope that one day when they are asked " why do you go back to the same island"??? They will look at the person and gently retort " obviously you have never been...and you wouldn't ask why...but WHY not".

The same Island/paradise is one we are so blessed to have been part of the past 20+ years.

I know...my wife kicks me in the shin when she hears me go on and on and on...or she says the "safe' word I-75....

We soon come....

Bigcheeze: By the end of their stay, your friends from way back will either "get it", or they won't (strong odds on the former), but in the later case, it certainly won't be from the lack of a passionate guide. It's also awesome to see friends experience St. John for the first time. Enjoy, and if by any chance you are around after the 6th, let us know.

Actually, my Mom got 'bumped' 3 x by Delta and she is the Queen of getting bumped and freebie trips. She got almost $2k in travel vouchers from Delta...Plus 3x nights at the plebian hotel of Emerald Beach...LOL

We still long for a return trip to your haven at Coconuts...

We will miss u again at High Tide...but TY for your Island 'vibe' and contributitions to the ROCK!!

Man, I miss all the good stuff...
We took another couple down one year who had never been there before. They expressed a great curiosity regarding the place I go back to, over, and over. So it was settled, Blue Tang, here we come! Then, about a week and a half before we were to leave for vaca, the husband tells me," Well, just so you know, I'm not really a beach guy, the wife doesn't swim and we both hate hot weather."
They both knew where we were going...ended up being a pretty lousy trip. 5 other couples that we've gone down with "got it", but that was one rough week in paradise.
I'm sure your crew will have yet another trip of a lifetime! Wish WE were going!

This spring we will have one newbie with us - but she's pretty mellow and I'm pretty sure she'll get it.

In August we'll have 1 newbie with us, but again, not someone I'm concerned about (my daughter's 15 year old friend)

Next years plans call for 2 newbies and 4 repeats. I've decided that no matter what, Sherry and I are sharing a car and the others are on their own. I'll not be tied to people again who have a different agenda than mine, like last April's trip.

I just don't get how people can not get it
