My husband just asked me to plan a last minute trip. I have always loved St. John and haven't been there for so long. There will be just the two of us. We don't want to rent a car. We have stayed at Grande Cru before and just walked. We are just spending a few days escaping the cold of Iowa.

What is the best way to get a bargain rental?

Is the weather pretty good?

I don't have much time to plan it. We aren't doing anything tomorrow . . . I found good flights . . . so, we could be on our way to the rock.

What's a few days and define Bargin. Since you won't be renting a car( although I would for at least one day)...your options would be somewhere around Cruz Bay.

Google it...VRBO too and any of the many rental companies,

Check Cruz Views. That has been our last minute goto. Tamarind Court, Cruz Bay Boutique, St. John Inn... VRBO.

Hey, thanks!! It will be for 5 days. I will look into those Rick. I was hoping to stay at Grand Cru but they aren't budging on their rates. If we can't get a bargain we will just drive somewhere. I just thought it was a good time to make it back. It has been too long.

It depends on what you mean by a bargain and what you're looking for. The Inn at Tamarind Court is the cheapest place to stay (I think) in St. John.
If you're looking for villa type place check out Guavaberry Hill. It's rented through Caribe Haven. Nancy is a pip!
