Yes one more car rental question

We have always rented from Conrad Sutton and have never had a problem. We however are not crazy about his location. Dragging our ample luggage along that narrow sidewalk is a thing of the past according to my husband. Where to rent that is a very easy walk?We also have never been able to park in Conrad's lot at night when in town. So easy walk and night time parking. Any ideas?

Don't drag your luggage anywhere. After stopping at High Tide for a painkiller, my wife waits in the park with the luggage while I go get the Jeep. Just reverse the process when leaving.
We've rented from Courtesy the last 3 years. In fact we've rented the SAME Jeep for 3 years! (coincidence!) Parking is fine, but it is a bit of a walk. We don't have a problem with that.

I leave Chip at the dock and walk up to STJ Car Rental with no bags. Get the jeep and swing around and pick him up.
Easy as can be and he usually has a drink waiting for me!

Denzil Cline is my go to, on St John and on Tortola. A little walk from the ferry dock but always found a parking place at night.

I second Amalie Car Rental on St. Thomas! You can always park in the new gravel lot. It's a short walk from there.

Penn's is just across from the Lumberyard so it's still a short walk but they have a large parking lot ( they mostly do trucking ).

Does Amalie car rental have a gravel lot on St John? I am confused by previous post.

No, they don't have a gravel lot on St. John. There is however, a gravel lot that anyone can park in - it is close to where the car barge comes in and is a quick walk into town.

Conrad's new building is almost done so they will likely tear down the old one and make more parking. Ditto the idea of having one take care of luggage while other gets car.

I ended up calling St John Car rental. They told me to fax in all the info, which I did yesterday. I'm waiting for an email from them. I'm not sure if they have parking in their lot or not but they seem to be popular so I figured we would try them out.
11 nights this trip yippee!

I always use St John Car Rental. They do offer parking in their lot, but it is a very steep hill to get to the parking in back of the office, and not very easy to maneuver around in the lot. I just use it as a last resort.. (maybe two times in 15 years of renting from them)
