Is it possible to find a place with a pool on St. John for 5 days under $1000.00? Looking for June or July

We like shared spaces for shorter trips. Cruz Views has worked very well for us. St. John Guest Suites has a lot of potential.

I love the looks of the Pool House suite, but I'd be concerned about privacy. Is that an issue?

Bushwacker, we stayed in the Sugar Cane Suite in February. It is directly underneath the Pool House Suite. I would say the suite itself is fairly private but the balcony area is not. The Sugar Cane Suite is more private and it has a bigger patio. Regardless, if you like complete privacy neither is ideal. If you want really nice accommodations for a reasonable price both will fit the bill. What you lose in privacy you make up for in comfort and excellent hospitality.

I think what would worry me the most about the Pool House Suite, is that it's on the same level as the pool. The Sugar Cane Suite was the other with the king bed (a deal breaker for us - my husband is 6'3" and a bed hog), and had a similar interior, right?
I really like the look of these, and love the price. I was determined to stay within walking distance of Cruz Bay this time, at either Gallows, or a studio at Grande Bay, but I like the look of these better.

Nevermind. I put on my googles and answered my own questions.
The Sugar Cane Suite does look more private. I'm thinking it's worth $1k to drive 5 minutes back to my lodging!
Thanks to the OP! I may have just found my next spot.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The bed in the Sugar cane Suite was very comfortable and the suite itself was quite spacious. The kitchenette is adequate for 2 people especially since there is a gas grill on the patio. The owners live on site but are very respectful of your privacy. Have fun!

IMO the Pool Suite is the most private. The suite does not open up to the pool, it faces south and has it's own balcony. The only way to see the pool and the pool deck from the suite is if you go out on the balcony and look to your left. Otherwise, only the entrance door is off the pool deck.

How many bedrooms?
We stayed here this January. I will get a review up as soon as i can.

I should read the entire post before answering. The only pool is a warm salt water pool 1000ft below the deck.

Gotcha. Good to know. I value my privacy, almost as much as I value a king bed.
At least now I have two to choose from.

Thank you all for your responses. It looks like Cruz Views may fit us the best. I will be bringing my sister with me for her first time in St. John and she likes to sit by the pool first thing in the mornings, otherwise the pool would not be as big of an issue, although we will definitely be hitting up all the beaches as well. Looks like we are putting our trip down for June of 2015 as I will be finishing up this year with the rest of my chemo and radiation. Looking VERY forward to a relaxation trip!!
Thanks again to my ST John friends for all your input!!

You could look at Aqua Bay villas - in Frank Bay walkable if you don't mind some hills. There are 4 units that would share a small pool.
