Pool House,Sugarcane,The SeaViewGuest room?

While staying at one of these Suits, did anyone have a problem with other guest while using the pool, washer & dryer or areas that you have to share? I have been looking at these units for a while and I am trying to decide if it will work for us. They all look very nice but I want privacy and if they are all rented it seems there could be a problem grilling at the same time and with the washer and dryer. I would appreciate your comments please. Thank-You

I also have the same concerns! The place looks great even the smallest room. Hope we get some answers but they are new so not sure if anyone will chime in.

I'm not sure that they have been fully booked yet, especially since the smaller rooms were just completed. I am a pretty social person so I would welcome the conversation with others and it would only be for a short time so it would not bother me.

We are currently staying in the Sugar Cane Suite. We have not had any problems with privacy. The suites are all booked so occupancy is maxed. We have not had any conflicts with our neighbors or the owners. In fact, we have rather enjoyed getting to meet different people. Today, for example, we sat by the pool after a morning dive trip and had the pool deck to ourselves all afternoon. We were also able to do laundry without any problems. The owners are wonderful and very accommodating. So I think it depends on your degree of privacy. If you want a place where you can sit outside in your pjs or in the buff this is not the place for you. If semi-privacy is ok by you then this is an excellent choice. We are certainly enjoying our stay here.

I wholeheartedly agree with PSU Fan, I stayed there on the 20th and there was another couple leaving the next day and another couple arrived the day before we left. My friend and I enjoyed talking with them and discussing how we were enjoying STJ. We always had the pool to ourselves but it is a shared pool. If you want complete privacy without seeing anyone else a private villa will be the way to go. I absolutely loved everything about the "Sugar Cane Suite" which also has it's own grill on it's own terrace if you don't want to use the shared outdoor kitchen by the pool. Hope this helps...

Did either of you get to see the patio area of the Lily guest room? The built in lounger, king bed and the price is tempting

Thank you for your input on the site! It sounds like we would love it. We have shared villas in the past with family and I guess this would kind of be like that. It sure gives me something to think about. We were so busy we didn't really spend a lot of time at the villa anyway.

I have not seen the smaller units. You can look down and see their patio area from the pool level. We talked to one couple that is staying in one of those units and they really loved. Those units are more at "ground " level so I am not sure of the view. However the view from the shared pool area is fantastic. There is a really nice outdoor kitchen area that is shared among the units by the pool.

I have stayed here twice now, and I can tell you the listings and images are accurate on each of the units. The two downstairs units - the Lily and Sea View Guest room each have a grill on their patio, so you don't have to go up to the main level where the pool is to use the grill in the outdoor kitchen - however you are more than welcome to do so if you wish. The lot is steep enough, and has been cleared appropriately, to offer views from the downstairs as well. Although, because of the position of the house, the Lily room does not have a view directly out from the room. You have to go out on the patio to see it. This room also has the huge built in lounger which is awesome to sprawl out on and read and see the view from the it. The Sea View room has views out to the ocean from the bed (hence the name of the room).
You really can't go wrong with any of the suites, as they have one to meet any price point. For the level that these suits are outfitted the price is very hard to beat. If you want the one with the most privacy then I would go with the Pool suite. It's the only guest room that is on the upper level, and you have a private balcony off the room if you don't want to be at the pool.
The owners are very sweet people and want their guests to be happy. If you're unclear give them an email, they will honestly tell you the pros and cons of each unit and help you pick the one that's best for you.

Poidog is spot on with her comments

Right before I went home on 1/27, they were just finishing the two other smaller suites and I got to see both of them. They are both beautiful, with their own special touches. They are smaller than the Pool suite and Sugar Cane but still have top of the line appointments and you cannot go wrong with the price and the views from the pool are just to die for!
