Opinions about kids at Gallows Point

My family is headed back to the rock in July. I have always wanted to stay at Gallows Point, but I have always gotten the impression that kids aren't a good match for the place (I know they don't allow children 5 and under).
My son will be 9 and he's a very social kid. He will play with anyone regardless of gender, age, color, size or shape (something I hope he never grows out of). He gets lonely fast if he doesn't have other people to play with.
Has anyone taken kids around that age to Gallows point? How was it and are there usually other children around? Any opinions about taking kids there are welcomed.

I have been there with my children when they were that age - or younger - several times. It was the summer every time, there were not many (sometimes no) kids around, and I am pretty sure they have a 12 and over (or something similar - maybe no kids at all without parents) for the pool area.
That being said there was the two of them so finding someone to play with was not a priority. They love it though -
This doesn't sound like the most helpful answer I am realizing

We started staying at Gallows when our kids were little. I think they were 3 and 9. There are often children of various ages. My experience, consists of 1-2 weeks a year in late Feb or April.
I'd say 85% of my experience is that guests with children respect and honor the managements suggestion that everyone's demeanor be compliant with adult, quiet enjoyment of the grounds- especially the pool. It is meant to be a quiet pool. 15% or maybe even less there have been elementary and middle aged kids shrieking, shouting and splashing in your average horseplayerie which can really interfere with guests quiet morning cup of coffee on the balcony or the pleasant and quiet conversation that afternoon cocktail hour in the pool brings.
Those are the 2 times of day that I have found are most likely to be an issue as I think most families spend most of the day at beaches. All that said, a quiet call to the front desk will result in a friendly request to the noisy families to keep it down. It is really just common sense and common courtesy.
If someone is in the pool with their child quietly playing or teaching them to snorkel it is absolutely fine. Charming even. Boil it all down to 1 word. Quiet. If your kids won't have fun unless they can horse around then I would consider the Westin or maybe Lavender Hill. Hope that helps.

The policy regarding children at Gallows Point Resort is no children under the age of 5 are allowed to stay - the exception being the owner's children. Also the resort is not recommended for children under 12. There are not many kid activities on the property. As another poster mentioned, the pool is called the "peaceful pool" and there is no jumping and running around and in it. The beach is a rocky coral beach. While it provides great snorkeling, access is via a walkway out into deeper water to avoid having to navigate the rocky beach on foot. Certain times of the year, spring break especially, there are a number of children around. Most families tend to head out to the beaches, hikes and other activities and come back to Gallows Point in the later afternoon. There are not many children around during the day.

Thanks all - I've ruled out Gallows until he's older (off to college and my husband and I can go w/o him!
