Villa Tesseract?

Ok, based on comments from some of you guys on the wind at Viewtiful, we're thinking about trying to switch our reservation to Tesseract.
Does anyone have experience with this villa? Comments, complaints, observations?
Is it no-tan-lines private?
How are the breezes in the area?
Thanks, again, for all your help!

I do not know this villa, but after looking at the photo's the word that comes to mind is "tired".
Don't know if that helps or not.
What about Viewtiful do you not like (I have not viewed this villa either btw)

Pia, when we asked about Viewtiful, the people who answered said "great view, but uncomfortably windy" so much so that they didn't spend any time outside in the evenings or at night as it was too cool. Some also commented that the pool gets almost no sun, so was so cold as to be unusable. Those are the reasons we're looking to find a different place.
I thought the place looked a little "tired" too, but am not sure that I really care. We're traveling kind of last minute (July 4-12) and our budget is pretty low ($1500-$1800), so our options are pretty limited. We just want a place that's going to be comfortable to stay and sufficiently appointed.
I'm open to suggestions if you've got any!

Will you have a car, and how many people are going (number of bedrooms you may need) also will you be locked into booking with the same rental agency - if so which one is it and I can look at their list of homes. If you can cancel, do you care what side of STJ you want to stay on?

Yes, we'll have a car. It's just Hubby and me, so just a small place. We're not locked into a company yet as we haven't made our deposit.
Given the time constraints, I'll stay on either side. We really want a pool and excellent privacy though.

I've always thought this looks cute - small though and not sure how private I would call and ask and be very clear on how private you would like it to be

I will go through my other "bookmarked" villas later

Oh I forgot, here is another one that reads "ultra private"
Forgot to look if either have a/c if that is important to you.

I liked both of those too, but they were not available for our dates (July 4-12 by necessity as we're traveling on FF miles).

Hey Chickadee,
I did a quick search and only found a few things available for your time frame:
This one
http://caribbeanvilla.com/calypso/calypso.html which does not have a pool but is right on the water!!
and this one
http://www.sundancer.com/rates.html but you'd have to leave on the 11th and find somewhere to stay for one night.
Good luck!!
