On October 30th, my mom (Suzy Meitzler) passed away suddenly after a fall in her kitchen here in Pennsylvania. At this point, my dad has decided to sell their house (Island Dreams) in Coral Bay. I will try to make one more trip down to pack up some of her personal stuff but I think it will be a while before I could return. I wanted to thank everyone for the friendship on this board and wanted to say goodbye. It has been a horrible holiday season so far and my 6 year old is having trouble not having her grandma around.

To anyone who might want to own a piece of the rock, look up Island Dreams. It has been a great house and would make us happy to have it be a new family's escape to Paradise.

I am very sorry for your family's loss. I had always hoped our trips would fall at the right time so the kids could get together.

The sudden loss of your mother just before the holidays must be very hard to bear, especially when your daughter and father may need your attention and comforting. I am sorry for your loss. I hope that you and your daughter can experience some aspect of the season together that will help you remember wonderful times with your mom and make your daughter a part of that tradition.
