Our last two trips, we've eaten most of our breakfasts at Donkey Diner, but I hear that they are closed... Any suggestions? We like a basic hearty breakfast, nothing foo foo... :D

In Coral Bay, we enjoyed Pickles breakfast when we were there in May. Unfortunately, they were closed for the season when we were there a couple weeks ago.

In Cruz Bay, I prefer Deli Gorto and the wife prefers Jake's, but both have good omlets.

Man..., tough one.
I usually wake up just early enough to open my eyes...LOVE making breakfast at the villa as we get ourselves together for the day.
My favorite place was Chilly Billy's. Had great food and Bloody Mary's at JJ's...
Great Bloody Mary's at Aqua Bistro, though! Saved me more than a few times!
Wish I could be more help...
'til then,
Smiles-
MJ

In Cruz Bay, Jake's, former home of Chilly Billy's has a good breakfast. So does Deli Grotto and the Inn at Tamarind Court.

We haven't eaten breakfast out very much. I tried Deli Grotto once and didn't especially like it, though the setting was nice. We did enjoy Jake's very much, in April. The service was great and the food basic and delicious!

Another vote here for Jake's. Good food and nice place - although we Yankees fans could do without all the Red Sox stuff! :-)

Also enjoyed the conversation we had with the two children of the owners. Don't be surprised if Jake happens to stop by your table and asks how things are going!!!

We also usually do breakfast in the villa. The exceptions are Sundays for brunch at Miss Lucy's (love those pina colada pancakes!) and our walk of woe day is breakfast in town. We did Cafe Livin last time and it was pretty tasty. I sure did miss JJ's though.

Another vote for Cafe Livin. We ate there last trip and for our upcoming trip will probably eat breakfast out 2-3 times. Cafe Livin has a very nice selection and we enjoyed being able to have an "Adult Beverage" to start our day! We also want to try Cruz Bay Landing - hopefully it will be open sometime in November!

Bonny, I don't eat breakfast out much, but agree with the Cafe Livin suggestions if you are in Cruz Bay. Sun Dog Cafe also has a Sunday Brunch. Never ate at Jake's and I think Deli Grotto is overrated. I can't remember if Sam and Jack's Deli has breakfast or not, but if they do, I would try it. Everything I have had there is excellent!

No on the Sam and Jacks for breakfast, just checked. I would definitely go there for a sandwich or grab and go dinner though.
