My wife and I have spent months planning our summer return to S.T.J.We had considered Disney world for the kids,but mom and dad wanted our little paradise.We won!! Little Daniel took the news pretty good.Now after many talks and planning between my wife and I ,I never realized that Daniel was listning to us.Now on a almost daily basis Daniel come up to me and tells me that when he grows up he's going to live on S.T.J.! Evertime he says that I give him a big hug and tell him that he's a good boy.So in closing I will add this..."Im Dan and I am bad" Bad meaning..{Beach-Addicted Disorder}

P.S.Daniel will be 4 yrs. old this month.

I am totally BAD! Get me back to STJ where I can snorkel my life away - I don't even care if my fingertips get all "pruney"!

nice work Parafins!
When I was about 10 or so we went on a family vacation to Bermuda and I was all po'd because it wasn't a "cool" place to go. I guess I wanted to go to Disney, who knows. Anyway, been back to Bermuda 5 times since and have yet to make it to Disney!
I turned out fine.. you're on the right path

Is 4 years old too young to join the forum?
You're doing a good job in raising your son.

Great job!
I didn't start to try the brainwashing until my kids were 15 and 11. It might be too late now!

We aren't practicing in the bathtub but will definitely be taking the gear to the pool. I am not sure how much she'll take to it. She could care less about being wet from head to toe but she's not the most adventurous swimmer. If I could just get a fish to swim under her I am sure her interest would go WAY up.

parafins: your 4 y.o. sounds great! My kids are brainwashed too, especially my 8 y.o. son.
parafins and FlipFlop: I put my kids in a snorkel class last summer in preparation for a trip where we'd do alot of snorkeling. Just wanted to get them really comfortable with it prior to the trip and ocean swimming.
They had a blast in the class. The instructor brought fake sea plants and fish for them to swim through and collect from the bottom. They've been snorkel fans since! (They were older than your kids when they took the class, 7 and 9, but it's worth thinking about to feed that island addiction!)
