What exactly does getting a citation for being on the beach mean? Is it a warning? Is there a penalty?

There's a new facebook group, Occupy St. John Beaches, they feature lots of pix of people on the beaches yesterday...

Also, how can they give a citation if you swim away?

I we my name will be Tony Ingrao when they give me mine since I don't carry an ID at the beach.

Hilarious. What actually happens in that situation? If you don't have ID, how can they ticket you? You can just give them a fake name, address, phone number etc, right? Is it against the law to drive without your license on you? If not, then you can say it's at your villa. What's he going to do...follow you back? Weird stuff.

Send it to one of the 80 Rep Tea Party members of the House of Representatives, that are holding the government hostage, to pay...they still get their salaries. You sure can't pay it on ST John....all that staff has been furloughed.

I refuse to get political on my favorite vacation board. There are other forums for that.
