Hello all, the 2013 VIOL Ornament Gift swap has been officially kicked off this afternoon. Kicking off a little early since I am on a little BVI vacation at the end of this month.

To those who have participated in the past, lets do it again! To those who have only read the rumors that this is a blast welcome aboard! As many of you know I got bit hard by the island love on my newbie virgin voyage. But I digress, lets have some fun with this exchange.

First, if you got an invite today and want to participate you must respond! I can not read you mind on this one.

Second, if you did not get an invite and want to participate go to the following website and sign up for an account.

Be sure to include your forum name and complete mailing address, email, etc so I do not have to track you down. Plus, you want to get your prize in the end. Also, if you would please email me here at the forum I will follow you through the system to be sure you are included in the draw.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions. If I do not know the answer I will figure it out. I am excited to be a part of a such a great group of people. Game on!

First and formost, welcome to the forum and Ornament Gift Swap. Lots of fun to fill our the void between our trips to St John.

If you would like to participate, you send me an pm with your email address. I will send you an invite from Elfster.com. Great site that facilitates gift exchanges between groups of people, easy peasy. Once you get your invite, you rsvp that you would like to participate. Sign up deadline is October 31, 2013. On November 1, 2013, Elfster.com automatically matches each of us with someone to send an ornament to. Once you know who to send to, on or before December 15, 2013 you mail an ornament to the VIOL forum member who you are assigned to. Elfster.com will supply you with the name, address, ect that you will need as well as reminders to keep you on schedule. Once you mail, you wait, for soon, a ornament prize will arrive for you to enjoy! Lots of fun. This year we should start a thread in mid December to show off the treasures we each receive.

I believe the ornament should be island themed, but with that being said, I do not believe anyone has ever specified. Once names have been drawn, you can ask questions anonymously to your recipient to gage their preferences.

And Tammy, lose those no ticker blues and get planning.

Hey Libby I am in! Thanks for doing it again! I hope I didn't screw up last year. I had Maho Jim and went to his wish list and purchased off of that I did not get an ornament, just a STJ related gift. Oh well if at first ya don't succeed try try again.

Don't feel badly! Maybe he appreciated that more than an ornament. My gift from a wonderful lady was not an ornament per se but absolutely beautiful.
