I haven't stayed there, but it looks adorable and comfortable, and I hope you'll fill us in, if you rent it. Are you giving up on the camping idea?

I will file a trip report when we return. That is unless we REALLY like it then I will keep it secret!
No way that I am giving up on the camping! We are staying the first 7 nights in a villa and then 3 nights at a baresite in CBC.

Bordeaux Mt. is the right place. It is always cooler than the lower elevations. Don't know anything about the house. I live on Bordeaux and do not have air conditioning because it is not needed. This house has the best ocean view which equals ocean breezes.

My first thought is, "Wow, what a find! How did I miss this one?" (adding to spreadsheet).

My 2nd thought, having recently stayed on Bordeaux Mtn, is to wonder about driveway and parking. The house I just stayed in had a flat driveway and parking pad (and they made sure that everybody knew it, because this is a big value add in that area). Some of the houses I passed on Bordeaux Mtn road had nowhere to park except a bit of driveway angled sharply downwards. No matter how much I liked the house, I would not be comfortable backing up a 45 degree driveway to a road hanging off the side of a mountain. So if I were you I would email the owner and ask 1) What the driveway/access road is like and 2)If there is a parking area with enough room to turn around in. Oh, and 3) can you park right by the house? Sometimes there are long flights of stairs involved.

Other than that unanswered question - what a find!
