We are returning to St John next June. Rented Coconuts , first time with sunset view! I love to snorkle and was considering adding 5 days at a East End Villa. I thought that would give me easy access to Haulover etc. One bedroom would be fine , we would want a pool however. Trying to keep price down so not over $300 night. Does anyone have any ideas, I checked out Milk Moon and it might fit the bill.

That one was my first choice, but with 10% tax and $150 cleaning fee it ends up more than our week rental.

Caribbean Sunrise is wonderful. My husband and I just returned from our second time staying there. Very private. The pool is cold but very refreshing after a day at the beach. The owners live in Coral Bay and were easy to work with. We even met them for dinner one evening. It definitely is convenient to Haulover.

nancy, buddy and I just returned from a week at viewtiful on mamey peak rd. though not east end, she's less than 5 min. to maho and 6 to skinny legs. though not as nice as coconuts, she's equal value as rate about 50% less and phpv does 5 day rentals on straight prorated basis. you will miss coconuts sunsets and stt lighting (stayed at cloud 9 four times) the views from vf are actually more panoramic you just substitute sunrise for sunset and the lighting of ajax peak, tortolla, virgin g, east end and coral bay for stt lights.
here's a paste from my recent post on ta to inquiry started about aria Vs bayview:

"suzy, if you like the views from aria and bayview take a look at viewtiful handled by private homes. buddy and I have been here since 7/4 and leave tomorrow. she's on mamey peak about same elevation as those 2 (we can see them as well as almost everything else east of the bord overlook) from our deck. she's about the same drive to smoothie stand as aria but is opposite direction. older non luxury but well equipped and comfortable. decent size great room with lots of glass overlooking mt bord, coral bay and british vis & half bath on parking (upper level). there are 2 bedrooms with decent ensuite baths, pool and hot tub on lower level. 1 bedroom has ac, I was comfortable w/o ac in master with great view but we had some very unusual breezes this past week.. ac bedroom was setup as twins in case too warm for my sleeping in master br. buddy used ac since not a lot of cross ventilation in that br. didn't use hottub nor pool but put toes in pool and was cool. reasonable price and have found ladies that operate private homes very helpful, reliable and accommodating in this my 4th rental through them."

also the c9 folks have a villa on the bluff at sw edge of haulover east "pebble cove". has own rocky beach and hard to get closer to haulover north. she's multilevel, though never stayed there did tour one dec and loved the views. I believe rickg stayed there in the last 2 yrs.
