ZoZo's...Bar or Table?

We're leaving in thirteen days
and I need your opinion on sitting at the bar or getting a table by the rail. I have seen varying opinions and pros and cons for both. First time in STJ and celebrating our 30th anniversary. Which do your prefer? Too hot? Not enough privacy? I've got to get back to them soon so would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks a Bunch!

We like the bar. We normally enioy the sunset ourselves at wherever we are staying and head to the bar around 8. Hard to advise on personal preference. We enjoy the personal service of the bartender and having pleasant conversation when we choose to. Cn't really go wrong either way!

We like a sunset drink at the bar, 6:15 or so, then dinner in the restaurant. This year I have a 7:30 reservation, hopefully by the railing....

We had dinner at ZoZos two years ago and the sunset was awesome. However we were seated to the far right of the dining room when you walked in. I don't know if the view is the same if you are seated to the far left of the dining room. The wait staff was attentive, but left us alone until we needed something.

We love the bar for the reasons that MBW said.
It is not like sitting at a bar, just a tall table with others close by.

We didn't enjoy dinner at the bar - it felt like a bar and we didn't really have a choice but to engage in conversation (unless we wanted to be rude).
If I were to go there again, a drink at the bar and dinner in the dining room would be preferable.
Have a great trip!

We had a totally different experience every time at the bar, never felt the need to engage in conversation, or maybe we were just rude! Lol
Remember that you have to have a reservation to sit at the bar for sunset. There are 2 or 3 tables behind it for those that want to watch the sunset but the bar is only for those dining at the bar.

We celebrated or 35th wedding anniversary in June at zo zo's. We made reservations weeks in advance to sit at the bar for we had heard this is the best place to see the sunset. We were not disappointed! The view is amazing from that location so we got some wonderful pictures. The bartender was very attentive and sociable, even took a couple of pictures of Us. He took very good care of us for the entire time, along with one other person helping him. The other people at the bar were very nice. We enjoyed good conversation with them as well as our own private time. It ended up being a very memorable experience that we definitely hope to repeat!
