A bit about Coconuts...
Kevin and Danielle have put a lot of love and attention into this place. They have thought of details that I have not seen in the homes we have stayed in such as very detailed instructions for all of the appliances, electronics, etc. They have taken the time to label many of the plants and trees on the property which was very informative. I am jealous of anyone staying there when the mangoes ripen because their tree was loaded.
It is a home built for comfort. The outdoor areas were so inviting and comfortable that we spent maybe a total of 2 hours inside in 2 weeks there. Of course, having a 2 week period of wonderful weather helped as well. I must admit that I wasn't sure how I felt about the separate indoor kitchen when we got there. It is in a separate pod from the main house. However, we all got used to it and by the time we left it just seemed natural. We had few issues with mosquitoes or no-see-ums mainly because the breezes were exceptional and I think we hit a good spell bug wise.
I want to emphasize that this is an older Caribbean style home. If you are looking for modern elegance this is not the place for you. If you are looking for comfort and enjoy outdoor living it would be hard to beat Coconuts. We fell in love with the place and found it very hard to leave.
Our morning breakfast spot One of the few nice sunsets. There was a fair amount of Sahara dust during our stay. The outdoor kitchen and pool table. Both were used a lot! A few friends that shared our outdoor living space. I saw bananquits feeding at the hummingbird feeders too. Never saw that before so another FIRST.
