Trip Report-May 22 through May 30-Part 1

My husband and I returned a few weeks ago from a wonderful week on STJ with two of our three "kids" and our daughter-in-law-ages 35, 30 and 29. The 29 and 30 year olds had been on the island once for about four days. This was our 9th trip (of which two were BVI's only)! In fact, we returned from a STJ-BVI sail with friends only two weeks before this latest trip!
We stayed at a 2 bedroom condo in Grande Bay- "Memory Maker"-so that our "kids" could walk to the bars....the condo was perfect and probably the best equipped place we have ever rented.
Leinster was wonderful, but rough and we were unable to swim the cay. In fact, four of us really had a tough time in the current trying to make it to the island-very dangerous and we quickly turned back!!!! We did enjoy the hike up to the ruins above Leinster. Salt Pond was fabulous and the hike to Rams Head totally sold our "kids" on STJ.
The food was great at Miss Lucy's full moon party, but there was not much of a crowd and the weather didn't cooperate.
Maho was beautiful and the Soloman-Honeymoon-Caneel hike didn't disappoint. We had a blast at Caneel-our lunch of sushi and drinks ordered for us by the waitress was SO MUCH FUN! Great sushi!
