Class of 2013 – Day Two – Pitch n Bitch
I am up early and enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck. Happy.

Today we are going to head over to Skinny Legs for the Pitch n Bitch which is a horseshoe tournament. My brother is the auctioneer at the event and the decision was made during dinner last night that Phyllis (who is a fabulous cabaret singer) will open the ceremony with the National Anthem! We head up Gift Hill from the villa and take the scenic drive to Coral Bay. We settle in to our tables and Phyllis wows the crowd with National Anthem and the pitch is on! We stayed and ate and drank and cheered for a few hours and then head into Cruz Bay.

The plan is to do a little bar crawl and eat snacks along the way. We were able to take advantage of parking in the St. John Car Rental lot about half of the time we were in town. The rest of the time we used Slimans’ lot and the folks there were SO friendly and welcoming, it was always a pleasure. We started at the Beach Bar. I looked around for forumites, but didn’t see anyone that I recognized from pictures on this board. There was a private party on the beach and Jimmy the bartender tried to hand me the check for $982 when I ordered a round. It became a running joke for the week whenever we stopped by the Beach Bar (which was often

We stopped at Joe’s Rum Hut and ordered pizza and fish tacos. The pizza was delicious and the bartender was so friendly. We did a little singing along to the music and then moved on to the Quiet Mon and Woodys. I chatted with the new manager who was a really nice guy, but I have to say the vibe here has changed a bit since the change of ownership. The music has changed, I think, and the service is not nearly as attentive as it used to be, but that might just be growing pains. Headed back to the villa for hot tub and music on the deck.
