New Trip and costs !!!

I was so excited I had to post...I had bought 1 way tickets using miles a cpl of weeks ago..( I was secretly hoping to hit the lottery in the meantime and just stay) j/k although it would be nice, lol I didnt win, so I bought the return trip this AM..I know alot of you dont like Spirit and personally I dont care who we fly with as long as its not costing an arm and leg..but with 2 of us round trip the total was 467.24 and should have been 40.00 less than that because we have a 40 credit out there somewhere...I bought the 1st set of tickets doing 2 legs and paid seperate because I could only get hubby from Ft Lauderdale to STT for only 2.50 what a deal...there wasnt enough miles for me..and definetly too good to pass up..it cost me 105 and then we each paid 38.00 to get to Ft Lauderdale from Myrtle Beach...and 284 for us to get back from STT to Myrtle Beach..There was definelty a little less costs is doing it this way and I dont know how easy it would be if we were checking a bag..but it might be something to check on for some of you that are only finding high air fare...we have about 2 hr layover in Ft Lauderdale or I wouldnt have tried it because something might happen and we would miss the connecting flight..wish me luck and to those of you searching...good luck...November cant get here soon enough !!
