Who has purchased it to bring home? We're flying Delta, not sure if I can bring it back as a carry-on or checked?

Back in January I brought three bottles of Bones Rum home on Jet blue I got them at the Bones store by the dock in cruz bay I had to check them, you can carry on only if you buy in the airport

Ok I'm a crook I put some in my luggage I check 6 and carry on 6 from the airport

I am sure your make-believe friend was also allowed to bring another 6 home as well.
