So.. Is the AT&T go phone useful only for calls locally ?
( you cannot call mainland USA from St. John unless you buy the international plan or pay $$$ per min?)

I used my go phone to call the mainland constantly, and had my normal cellphone calls forwarded to my go phone. It worked great everywhere. I use the $2 a day plan, which gives me unlimited calls and texts.

ok ! That's great news. The fellow at the att store yesterday told me i would only be able to call locally (usvi) with it. I had the impression from prior posts that ya'll were using them to call back home to mainland, too. That 2$ plan seems like the way to go!

You can call anywhere, we use the $2 per day plan too!! (get charged only if you use it!)
