Quick Pics - Day five

Today started with brunch at Miss Lucy's. I had the conchfritterdicts (eggs benedict with conch fritters) - it was awesome. Then we spent some time at the crab races. My crab pulled way ahead in the final race, no other crab was even close. Then he just stopped - 1/2 inch from the finish and let all the other crabs pass him. I like to think he was simply a kind crab who wanted the others to feel good about themselves. Sarah's crab came in first - winning us a pass for one person for an all day sail on the Wayward Sailor. Emily's came in third - winning us a discount coupon for snuba. Luckily, there is no expiration on the prizes, so perhaps we can use them next trip.

After brunch we headed out to Francis. We were afraid we wouldn't get a spot, since it was much later then we usually arrive. This is when it became obvious to us that most the spring breakers have left, because we got two close parking spots. The water temp was perfect, which was fortunate, because it was HOT with very little breeze there. Enjoyed our snorkel at the left end of the beach:

Another barracuda, I got closer, but that picture didn't turn out well. I think I moved the camera when he charged at me

We left when the nooseeums started getting Sherry (the skin so soft worked well, but they were biting her scalp where there was none). They don't seem to care for me this year
Back to the villa for a pool soak then tacos. Tomorrow Sherry and I will head out by ourselves for the first half of the day, as the newbies just can't handle a full beach day at this point. We will spend our morning at Jumbie. Then back to the villa for lunch and to pick up the others. Planning on Caneel Beach for the afternoon, then out to the Westin and parasailing for the girls and Andrew. Finishing up with dinner in Cruz Bay, although we haven't decided where yet.
