On the BBQ forum we celebrate post milestones! We even have titles that show up under your name that are based on the number of posts you have.

The sad thing is that the post total only counts posts in the "on topic" discussion areas. Posts to "Wood Pile" (off topic discussions) and "Jokes" don't count. I think i am over 5000 posts if you count those
BUT... I'm not even close to the top. We invent the Somebody Shut Me Up!! category just for my buddy Bill. I think he now has over 8000 on topic posts and over 12000 total (since the forum moved to the current software in 2003).
The whole system was designed to reward people who contribute in the on-topic categories. After all, we come to the forum to learn from others and share out experiences. Phil, the guy who owns the forum, has sent out small gifts to guys who have reach the top level.

I have to ask, what's a Fatty? My husband is in charge of all grilling in our household.
