Any recent stays at Estate Lindholm?

Anybody stay at EL recently? We are considering foregoing the expense of a villa this year and staying at EL. What are the rooms like? We would be staying for 8 nights and I am concerned that even though we are gone all the time, I would start to feel kind of cramped. What is the privacy level like? Are there certain rooms that are quieter than others?
Thanks!

When are you going? A villa for two people might be about the same as a week at Estate Lindholm. Even if the villa has more than one bedroom, many charge by the number of people. We did stay there about ten years ago- it was a large room with some sort of kitchenette at one end(maybe not a stove, can't remember) and a small deck. The pool is very small. It is a nice place and a good location but you certainly won't have the space you would have in a villa. We were there for 2 or 3 nights.

It has been too long since we stayed at EL to answer in the detail requested. Also did a search here on the forum and didn’t turn up much detail, although I would suggest you do the same and maybe PM anybody who shows up in that search who might have stayed there in past couple of years.
EL continues to get stellar reviews on TripAdvisor. Also suggest you go there and check the reviews AND the “Traveler Photos” if you haven’t already.
To the previous posters points, yup the pool area is small but quite pleasant for a refreshing dip, of course maybe not conducive to hanging out all day, but it sounds like you are the type who are out and about most days anyway so don’t think you would wind up feeling cramped. Nice views from the pool and even better views from the balconies of the “Harbor View” rooms. In terms of EL vs villa, not sure if you could get something as nice in similar location with better views at their price point, which in the late spring would be less than $2k for a week, not to mention the light breakfast that is included and walk-ability to town.

We stayed at EL quite a bit in the early years until we discovered Lavender Hill for the same money. Check it out.

I want to second the recommendation for Lavender Hill. We stayed there about 3 times several years ago. If it is about the same money it is much roomier and much easier to walk to town. The unit we had also had a lot of balcony space with great views. I noticed last month that the lower units might have the view blocked by palm trees now. Although you can walk to town from Estate Lindholm, it is a steeper hill and I don't feel it is safe at night-this is one of the main roads out of Cruz Bay and very dark. I agree that you won't won't find a villa as convenient to Cruz Bay as Estate Lindholm but if you primary goal is room you might want to check out the villas.

We loved EL when we stayed 4 years ago, but the room was confining. They have a small fridge, microwave and sink in an area near the porch, terrace or balcony, whichever you decide to call the outside area. There is a wardrobe to hang your clothes. There is usually a love seat or chair in the room. Some of the units are duplex, so you would have more space in the main room.
The biggest problem I have with the space at EL is that the bed, although queen-sized, is large. There is very little space on one side of it, and no night table on that side, so whoever sleeps on that side must literally crawl over the other person to get out of bed. This was a deal breaker for us returning. Pool, grounds and people were wonderful.
