Can't wait to visit St.John the week of July 4th! Have decided on Coral Bay and will need a place to stay for 3 adults. We will rent a jeep. Budget will be around $250 or so. Any recommendations will be appreciated greatly!!

Harbor Place Too http://www.vrbo.com/279907 was mentioned in this thread http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/v ... =1&t=24906. I don't know anything about it, but it's pretty close to your budget. You might ask the owner if they'll take $250 per night since there are three of you, not four.

I noticed you mentioned that you'd like sweeping views in an earlier post. This property might give you those http://www.vrbo.com/93862, and it comes in under your budget. Again, I don't know anything about the property... sorry. Not actually in Coral Bay, but I think most of us would agree that Ajax Peak is a perfect location between Cruz Bay and Coral Bay, with the easiest access to the great North Shore Beaches of Maho, Francis, Waterlemon & Cinnamon.

You didn't mention if you need 3 bedrooms, or if two of you are a couple?
I have a big list of budget places around Coral Bay, as that's my favorite part of the island. I haven't stay at any of these (yet) they're just the ones on my "budget priced" list
2br with great views:

We just got back from a week staying on Ajax Peak and I loved the location -- easy access to the North Shore beaches, not too far from the south shore beaches and Coral Bay restaurants and stores, and
very close to the smoothie stand!
We had beautiful views and great breezes at night, which would be nice for you in July.
We have always stayed in the Coral Bay area and love it. I think you will too. Book soon as some of the places on saw on VRBO are already booked.
Here's one $260/night; open until 7/5.

Also $260:

I did a search on Coral Bay, dates 6/30-7/6 (not sure what your dates are) for 3+ people. Here is the list of results:

If you haven't done so rent your Jeep NOW - 4th of July is one of the top 4 busiest weeks of the year as it is Carnival and Jeeps are reserved months (as in 6-8 months) in advance

Check out Viewtiful with Private Homes. Have not stayed there but the management
company is great to work with. They have other homes also.

Villa Jumbie is available. 2 BR on SeaGrape hill. Managed by Cimmaron, a very good on-island management company. When we were staying at a Cimmaron property in 2009 over July 4, Cimmaron threw a big party for employees and all guests staying in their properties. Provided a place to park and watch the parade (Lumberyard), tons of BBQ and other home-made food, and an endless open bar. I can't promise they are doing it again this year, but if they are it's a nice perk.
