Decided that we will do Honeymoon from Caneel on our 2nd day on island. Can one snorkel from there to Salomon, or is there a trail ? I know there is a point of land seperating the two. Has anyone snorkeled from one to the other?

We were a group of three. My two friends walked it. Said it was super easy. I intended to walk it with them, but only had flip flops on. I'm super clumsy...twist my ankle and fall often.
When I went to join them I noticed it was a very natural trail with rocks to manage. Therefore, I chose to swim over. They met me near the point. It was a super easy and enjoyable snorkel. Lots to see on the way over. More of an experience than a straight swim. And when I rounded the point and saw that view of the beach...priceless.

Thank you ! I just couldn't tell from looking at a few of the maps if the trail went from beach to beach.

We have done both.
Walk is a little rough and hilly at points. We were idiots and were lugging beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc. Big mistake. If we walked again from Honeymoon to Solomon, we would not take tons of stuff with us.
On another note, the snorkel is an easy snorkel over. Just be mindful of whether or not there is a strong current the day that you attempt it. We snorkelled over. Had a nice time on the beach, etc. But, when we started to snorkel back to Honeymoon, we hit a horrific current and I swear to God, there were moments when we were not advancing an inch. It got to the point where we actually had to strip off the snorkel gear and turn onto our backs and just started kicking like our lives depended on it. Unfortunately, you can't really get into shore quickly because of the rocky outcrop.
So, don't mean to scare you or anything. I am sure we just hit it wrong. But, I tell you - we sure were happy to finally hit land again. Again, just a word of caution.
Enjoy! It is an amazing spot!

A very easy snorkel from Honeymoon to Salomon. Some of the best snorkeling is around the rocks at the point between Honeymoon and Salomon. Coming back from Salomon was a little harder in early Feb, seemed to be some current to swim against. It wasn't bad, but just good to know that it might be present.
