After the flu and stomach virus has taken our house hostage for a week, I just realized that in 25 days we will be in paradise!! So happy it happened now and not later!! Who else will be on island for 8 Tuff Miles. I can not walk be aside of my knee surgery, but I will be at the finish line being a cheerleader to root in Augie and the rest of the Forumites!

Yay Eagle Ray, you are so close. We are behind you by two months. Enjoy Enjoy!

The chicagoans clan will be there! I will be doing 8 Tuff with my two teens, my friend who did it with me last year (our 50th birthday gift to ourselves last year - woo hoo!), her husband and her daughter. DH will be there cheering us on, God willing. (He has been battling cancer for almost 3 years and has had some recent setbacks. Limited mobility but he's determined to be with us for the trip.)

Would love to see other forumites during and after the race! Don't know how we'll find each other... but if you look for a tall mom and two even taller teens, that might be us. (I'll be the one with aching knees, and they'll be the ones rolling their eyes at me.)

There will be quite a few Forumites there- look for a handsome silver haired guy who always smiles running the race and I will be waiting patiently with a drink in hand for him at the the finish line as I know we will be thirsty!! I also believe we will be at Beach Bar on Sunday!!
