What to do in St. Thomas for 1 and half day

Post by rlsk »

Hey Folks,

Im landing in St. John's tomorrow (24th dec) at 8:30 am and will be flying out the next day at around 5:00 pm, so I have around 20 hrs. We are travelling with a 1 yr old baby boy.

Need to know what all we can do in 20 hrs.
I have heard of the below things, but pls. suggest...also suggest some restaurants. I am living in Mirmar Hotel, around 4 KM from the airport.
Coral World Marine Park & Undersea Observatory
Magens bay beach
Mountain top
Trunk Bay, St. John Underwater Trail
Skyride

Thanks.
SKRL

Are you going to be in the Virgin Islands or Antigua? There's no Mirmar Hotel in the VI, and the island in the VI is St John. St John's is in Antigua.

Do some shopping. The Rising Stars Steel Band should be by the downtown post office playing their Christmas music. At sun up in the morning is the challenge of the carols at Emancipation Garden next to the post office. You can beach it after hat!

And since your time is so short, I'd recommend Emerald Beach, because it's the closest one to Windward Passage, and has calm water for the little one. Chairs are available for rent. The restaurants there are pretty good usually (especially the one at the Island Beachcomber), so you can fill up before your flight.
