North Shore swell conditions

I often see posts that question the ocean swell conditions for the N. shore beaches - so I hope this post helps -- I use this site and consider it fairly accurate in the predictive phase. It shows an upcoming 10'-12' swell for the next few days.

I also look at the buoy report 170 NM north of STJ for their real time info - this shows an increasing wave height and a good graph if you click on the symbol for it - the height usually translates to local conditions in about 12 hours.

Using both it is pretty easy to understand the current and approaching swell conditions for swimming, snorkeling or mooring overnight on the N. coast of STJ.
