Just got back from 10 days on Bordeau Mountain in Coral Bay. Awesome vacation except for last weekend when the mosquitos envaded and the trade winds died! Just want to give a shout out to Ekaete Pink Corner in Coral Bay. Ester has just reopened after a car accident... she's fixed the place up nicely and her food and service is great! We stopped in for a snack and her Jonny Cakes were excellent. We went back for lunch and the Roti was great. She gave us a sample of her oxtail to try ( never would have ordered it) and it was absolutley wonderful - that's on my list to go back for! Not only does she have great food but she's a special person- loved talking to her. So if you happen to be in Coral Bay....go try her out. We also saw that Pickles was open but didn't have a chance to stop by. Went to Donkey Diner for breakfast and met the new owner but the breakfast menu was the same (good) and didn't see any other changes.

This is the best news ever! Thanks so much for telling us! Esther is a DOLL, a great cook, and a great hostess - can't wait to have lunch with her! Is she making her homemade icecream again, too?

Where is it in Coral Bay? Is it near Skinny's? We like staying in Coral Bay but we've never been to the Pink Corner and I'd love to try it on our next visit.

Turn right at the Triangle Signs as you approach the Rts 10 and 107 intersection; it will be on your immediate left. We passed it several times, but no one seemed to be there. Poor timing on our part, I guess.

Yes, Esther is still serving her homemade ice cream. If I remember correctly, she is closed on Saturdays and open from about ten in the morning and serves dinner till seven or so (island time you know!). She's a wonderful person and a great cook! Hope she can keep her restaurant going as it's a great addition to Coral Bay.

We were also in the Bordeaux area for ten days, ending on 12/5, we could have been neighbors!
Now it just doesn't feel right to start the day off without a mango smoothie from Esther! In November 2011 the Pink Corner was closed during our stay, but we loaded up on visits this year! If my jet lag ever ends, there will be a trip report!
