One of my friends just returned from Aruba and they took their steaks etc with them...She said that each individually wrapped item needed to have a USDA sticker on it..I have not heard this and wanted to make sure if I needed to do this or not...
Thanks in advance

Lori - Since you are technically not leaving the US (assuming USVI) then there's no problem. We've never had an issue bringing food to STJ. You WILL be asked if you're carrying any vegetables or fruit when you come back and go through customs.

Yep, Aruba is a foreign country, the USVIs are not

In fact, if you are traveling from the US to the USVI, you will not see anyone to ask about your packaging. If you are carrying them on the plane with you the TSA will want another look. Transparent packaging helps with that.

We had NO issues bringing meat in the Polar Bear Cooler. Next time, I will bring more meat, and ship a box ahead to CB Campground for a $5 holding fee, and use Connections in Coral Bay for shipping another package. Can also send adult items, bug spray, sunscreen, in addition to food. I will leave any leftover lotions, etc. at the villa.
