Haven't heard much about Island Blues lately. Is it open? If so, how would you rate the food, etc.. Thanks! Oh..also, where is the smoothie stand I've heard talk of near Coral Bay?

Arrived here yesterday and they've been closed... The awning has been removed from the frame outside...
Don't know if they are taking an off-season break, or something else...

The smoothie stand is where all the roads come together in the middle of the island: Centerline Drive (10), the road down to the North Shore (20), and King Hill Rd (which may not really be a road, but is on the map).
When we were there in late September the smoothie stand was closed.

Island Blues was open when we were there in the last week of September. So maybe they're just taking their off-season break a little later than some of the other businesses.

Great thanks guys...
Also...Is King Hill Rd a road?? Or is it better coming from N Shore Rd to go 108 (Bordeaux Mtn Rd) to 107 for Coral Bay restaurants?
And also....

Is there a road that goes along the south shore or do you just take Centerline and then branch off wherever you want to go on S. Shore instead of driving along the shore? Thanks for info...

I just saw a post on FB that Island Blues is having Karaoke tonight and next Tuesday night so they are open.
I can for sure say that King Hill is not a thru road. As far as I know the only way to get to Coral Bay is Centerline Rd. I hope someone will answer this and tell if Bordeaux Mtn Rd goes all the way. My understanding is it goes to the top of the Mountain but not down the other side.

Kings Hill Road from the Smoothie stand is not drivable to Coral Bay (well it could be but NOT advisable) To go to the Coral Bay restaurants just stay on Centerline Road and turn right at the triangle.
Pia
ps: never ask a local where 108 or 107 or 10 are located as they will look at you like you have 3 heads - we use Centerline Road, North Shore Road, Gift Hill Road, South Shore Road and give directions like.........go to the dumpster turn left, up the road to the Flamboyant tree go right then left where the cows usually are - welcome to St John

I would like to know the answer to that also, as I am hoping to stay on Bordeaux Mtn "next time." I thought I saw some comments on this forum that suggested that Bordeaux Mtn Road is now paved all the way from Coral Bay to Centerline? Is this true?

I own the rental property Monkey No Climb on Bordeaux and you can very easily drive all of Bordeaux Mt Road from Route 108 all the way down to Coral Bay. Nothing to be afraid of.

Oh, hey, it's Monkeynoclimb! Thanks for chiming in. Coincidentally, your villa is one of the reasons I was curious about the route. The Monkey is on my short list. It's all still a pipe dream at this point, but I'm hoping to coax my daughter and her husband to share a villa with us next summer. I'm looking for a central location to make it easy for us to show off the island to newbies. Your villa is so beautiful that it would be on my list either way, but the location becomes a lot more central if you can access it from both ends of the road. Maybe it won't work out this year, but I hope to stay there eventually.
