Ok I just bought a painting by Kristen Maize. They featured her and her upcoming show on STJ in their blog. I have looked on STJ EVERY time I've gone for something distinctly St. John that speaks to me. I have found a few things here and there but never that significant piece. When I saw her works in warm sepia tones I wanted to see more. Contacted her and she was extremely responsive sending pics of some of her other works.
I have decided on one of the Moravian Church. I have to wait until after her show, but I can't wait to have it in my living room!

Kristen is a great person too, not just a good artist. I would love one of her paintings.

nice! I liked what I saw on the site as well. can you share the picture, or no?
fyi, I went on the gallery site and somehow ended up on a jewelery site and saw a bracelet to die for. might have to go in search of it next trip.

Kristen is a wonderful person and a great artist. She has so many interests.
MB you probably got a jewelry site because her showing is in a great jewelry store located just below St. John Properties. Quite a few artists are on display there. Michael's jewelry is beyond creative and beautiful.

Marie is right, Michael's jewelry is amazing. I am lucky enough to have 3 pieces.

Check out
http://www.michaelbanzhafgallery.com/, I communicated with Michael and he was very nice and helpful too. He said he was getting disc with all of the pieces for the show, so perhaps he can share with you.
He's got some of her stuff online too, but not all of the stuff for the show.

Michael makes all his own jewelry and I think that you will find that his prices are not as high as you would think.
Probably not $100, but not $1000
