Trip Report - Day 6 (Thursday, August 9)
Posted: Sun Sep 30, 2012 2:14 pm
Woke up at 6:20am. Seriously.
We were so excited, though, because we saw BLUE SKIES and only a few clouds. SO much different than yesterday!
I enjoyed my Kiss of the Jumbie coffee and checked emails while D slept.
We left around 8:30am for Jumbie.

We were (of course) the first ones there.
Almost as soon as we arrived, DOWNPOUR!

No worries. It was short lived. We found this little guy hanging out....

He was happy to see us.

We got in and snorkeled from the left to the right. It was a little murky becuase of the downpour, but we got some pretty decent pictures. Saw a smooth trunkfish, which is one of my faves, as well as jellyfish.
Happy fish....

People started arriving around 11:30, so we packed up and headed out.

It was moving day, so we went to Caribbean Villas at the Lumberyard to see what time we could check in. Our villa wasn't quite ready, so we did what we do best....enjoy a great meal!
We tried Sam and Jack's at the Marketplace for the first time. Y'all. We have been missing out. DELICIOUS!!!!! I had "The Wolf" (shrimp) and D had "The Sammy." (His had lots of meat - I remember proscuitto for sure.) We split homemade chips. Forgot to get the $ amount, but I think it was $30 something.

We picked up more bug spray at Chelsea Drug Store, and headed back to Caribbean Villas. Our host brought us to Fish Beach, where we'd spend the remaining 7 nights. It was 90 degrees in the house!!! Luckily, it had central AC.
After we checked the place out, we headed back to Sail View to pack up. Again - CANNOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS ABOUT SAIL VIEW and MIKE AND EILEEN. These folks are amazing!!!!!
Back to Fish Beach, where we immediately hopped in the pool for about an hour.

We loved having the banana trees provide shade for us while we were in the pool.
After our pool time, we went inside to shower and eat the other 1/2 of our Sam and Jack's. We watched tv, relaxed, and called our families.
Headed downstairs to bed around 10pm. (Yes, the bedrooms are downstairs. As in OUTSIDE downstairs.
I will do a villa review separately. But in the mean time...questions about Fish Beach villa? PM me.)
Night night!
